          Legal opinion

 

          The opinion is generally formed at the level of Assistant Legal Adviser or Deputy Legal Adviser which goes upto Legal Adviser for final decision. Advice to the Board of Trustees, Chairman and Deputy Chairman is generally directly furnished by Legal Adviser.

 

          Selection of Advocates

 

          Applications for enlistment received from Advocates are scrutinised after which they are called before an interview. Upon getting the information from  legal circle and on the basis of performance of the Advocates and considering their  credentials the Advocates are selected. The List is placed before the Chairman for his approval. For appointment of any Advocate outside the approved list  special sanction from Chairman is obtained.

 

Estate Department

 

 

Assistant Land Managers generally process their work through the Dy. Land Manager, Sr. Executive Engineer, Executive Engineer, OSD (E) and OSD(C) as the case may be who in turn submit work to the Land Manager for instruction, approval etc.

 

In addition all the officers are required to pursue the court cases and P.P. Act  cases in respect of tenancies looked after by them.

 

 However there are certain statutory powers vested with OSD (E) as CPIO under the RTI Act and as Authorised Officer under the P.P. Act and as Nodal Officer, Hindi. Similarly Sri S.K.Das, Asstt. Land Manager-I is vested with certain statutory powers as Liaison Officer in SC/ST/OBC matters.
