MV Beluga Mobilisation, the gearless vessel of SEACON, was on her maiden
voyage to Kolkata Dock System from Singapore. She was berthed at the MHC berth (4 Netaji Subhas) at 1735 hours on 25/03/09 with 418 import containers ( 578 TEUs). Work commenced at 1740 hrs on the same day and completed her work at 0135 hrs on 27/3/09. On completion of her discharge she loaded 326 containers ( 418 TEUs) and sailed out from the berth at 0230
on 27/3/09. A total of 744 containers (996 TEUs) were exchanged during the
voyage and it took only 31.5 hours to complete the operation, thereby
recording one of the best overall performance of container vessels at KDS.
During day shift of 27/03/09, 300 containers were
discharged/loaded from/to the vessel, which was the 2nd highest shift
productivity at KDS.
