Port reduces Ship Breaking charges.
To attract ship breaking activities at Kolkata Dock System, KoPT Board has reduced its tariff structure and with effect from 30.6.04, the new charge to be levied is now Rs.300/- per LDT. The rate include charges for occupation of ship breaking berth along with adjacent land area (including breaking area) of 3250 sq. meter. The vessel related charges, however shall be realised separately as per the existing Scale of Rate.
