Deputy Materials Manager
Applications are invited from Indian nationals under any Port Authority in India, the Central Govt., the State Govt. or any Local Authority, Statutory Undertakings, Public Sector Undertakings, or any other Government Companies as defined in Section 617 of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956) or Institutions receiving grants from Govt. through proper channel for filling up the post of Deputy Materials Manager in Materials Management Department of Kolkata Port Trust in the scale of pay of Rs. 10,750-16,750/- by deputation for a period of three years. The candidates holding analogous post or having a minimum of total 4 years regular service in the grade equivalent to Assistant Materials Manager in the Pay scale of Rs.9,100 -15,100/- or above in Govt. Deptt. /Semi-Govt. Organisation/PSU/Autonomous Bodies are only eligible.
Qualification and experience
Educational:
(i) Degree in any discipline.
(ii) Degree or Diploma in Materials Management or a Degree or Diploma in Management with Materials Management as a special subject from a University or a recognised Institution.
Pay & Allowance
In addition to pay in the above scale, the incumbent will be entitled to HRA, CCA, etc. and the total emolument at the beginning of the scale would be Rs. 20,176/- approximately per month. The incumbent will also be entitled to LTC, Leave Encashment, Gratuity, Non-contributory P.F. and Medical coverage for him and dependant family members.
Mode of application
The application containing detailed bio-data including name, date of birth, permanent address, address for communication, nationality, religion, details of educational and professional qualifications, details of experience and post held (indicating name of the employer) and pay scale, salary drawn and the parsent pay scale, whether SC/ST/OBC, extra curricular activities or any other relevant information with two recent passport size photograph along with confidential report for the last five years of the offices, who can be spared in the event of the selection, should reach through proper channel in sealed envelop superscribing “Application for the post of Deputy Materials Manager, Kolkata Port Trust” to the Secretary, Kolkata Port Trust, 15, Strand Road, Kolkata – 700 001 by 30th September 2005. The authority forwarding the application is requested to verify that the application is in order. Application received without the certificate prescribed in the proforma by the forwarding authority will not be considered.

i) Certified that the candidate is presently working in Govt./Semi Govt. Department/Public Sector Undertaking or Autonomous Body.
ii) Pay Scale of the candidate along with designation for last 5 year is……
iii) Certified that the particulars furnished by the candidates has been checked from available records and found correct.
iv) Certified that candidate is eligible as per eligibility criteria mentioned for the post and can be spared in case of selection.
v) No vigilance and disciplinary case is either pending or being contemplated against the candidate. There is nothing in the ACR dossier of the candidate, which makes him ineligible for consideration for appointment to the post applied for.
vi) Attested copies of ACR for last three years of candidate are enclosed.
