Highest Crane Productivity at KDS
A new record on shift productivity has been set at Kolkata Dock System(KDS) of Kolkata Port Trust. Recently on 4th August 2010 during day shift at berth number 8 Netaji Subhas Dock a record productivity of 302 moves was achieved on MV Beluga Majesty voyage 25 (Local Agent M/s Sea Consortium Shipping (India) Pvt Ltd) with the help of 1 (one)Mobile Harbour Crane (MHC). This was the highest ever shift productivity achieved on a container vessel at KDS by a single crane. Incidentally, the previous highest shift productivity of 275 moves was also achieved with the help of one (1) MHC on MV Antares I Voy 004S at 8 NSD berth.
